Hi I'm Meg.

Thank you for being here!

I’m a country girl at heart and love capturing the rugged beauty of the Australian landscape in my paintings. Windmills, dusty roads, farm gates, wildflowers and cattle often find their way into my work.

I paint from my home studio in Brisbane, where I live with my hubby and three kids, surrounded by bushland and my garden. I’m a passionate self-taught artist and much of my work is inspired by the time I’ve spent living in and exploring rural Australia.

I paint with acrylic on canvas, building up layers of vibrant colour and often applying paint thickly to create texture, movement and depth to capture the vast expanse of Australian land and sky.

Creativity has always been a big part of my life. I loved art growing up and studied it throughout high school before going on to become a schoolteacher. In recent years I’ve returned to painting more seriously, and in the last few years I’ve been a featured artist in several galleries across Queensland. My work is exhibited at events such as the Affordable Art Fairs and sold through my website and Instagram.
